Moving funds out of your savings accounts on Clarity by Investec depends on the type of savings account you hold.
Instant Access
Funds can be moved out of your savings account when needed.
For an Instant Access account, you can move funds from your savings account back into your wallet using the Move option in the Wallets section.
Follow the on-screen instructions to select the relevant savings account and the amount you would like to move.
Notice Deposit
You can access funds from a Notice Deposit account in two ways. You can either first place notice on the funds or request an early withdrawal (steps covered in Fixed Term Deposit below).
Mobile App
Select “Save” from the navigation bar on the bottom of your screen.
Scroll down to “My savings products”.
Select the notice deposit account you wish to place notice on
Click on “Place notice”
Follow the on-screen instructions to place notice.
Web Platform
Select “Save” from the navigation bar on left-hand side of the screen.
Select the notice deposit account you wish to place notice on (found within “My savings products”.)
Click on “Place notice”
Follow the on-screen instructions to place notice.
The funds will automatically be transferred into your wallet once the notice period has lapsed.
Fixed Term Deposit
Funds are generally held until maturity. If you choose to withdraw funds before maturity, an early withdrawal will be subject to penalties.
Mobile App
Select “Save” from the navigation bar on the bottom of your screen.
Scroll down to “My savings products”.
Select the fixed deposit account you wish to early withdraw funds from
Click on the 3 dots next to the account name
Click on “Early Withdrawal”*
Follow the on-screen instructions to make your early withdrawal.
* Early withdrawal will trigger a penalty fee
Web Platform
Select “Save” from the navigation bar on left-hand side of the screen.
Select the fixed deposit account you wish to early withdraw funds from (found within “My savings products”.)
Click on the 3 dots next to the account name
Click on “Early Withdrawal”*
Follow the on-screen instructions to make your early withdrawal.
